Well, he goes into surgery tomorrow. I can put it on an emergency credit card, which will delay the cost somewhat until we find the money. And for those kind people who offered, I would ask not to send me anything, because I'd feel just terrible, but save it for some day when someone you know cannot eat.
I have been there. If it wasn't for FanTek, Koinonia, and the Mormon church, my family would have been starving on the streets, literally. Save your money for those people, which will hopefully never be us again.
So far, the x-rays show a hard lump, hard enough to be bright white, in his stomach. He must have ate something he wasn't supposed to, like a golf ball.
Thanks again for everyone's kind thoughts and prayers. I will let you know how it goes. |

He doesn't look big enough to be able to eat a golf ball! Poor baby Ahfu. Sending you all the good mojo I can muster!
*spins up another set of wheels*
I understand what you are saying. Kory will be contributing to the stamp out hunger campaign this weekend, anyway. It's one of the reasons we do the angel food - besides the cost savings for us, it keeps the program going for those who are in dire need of it. and we always kick in extra there as well.
But I want to still point out that the offer is there if things get weird. I know what it is to be hit between the eyes by emergency vet bills. And no one should face that kind of decision. Our pets are more than just animals - they are family.
More hugs from Kory & I and fron Kisha & Athena as well.
*crossed fingers* for Ahfu.
Poor little guy. Hope he does ok with it. Crossing our paws for him here.
I will keep him in my thoughts. and you. Be well
**hugs** Our pets are family, so don't feel terrible. My offer also stands.
I have a friend whose great dane ate her blanket. She had to have surgery and survived. Your baby will be fine.
I have been there and done that, with a cat who liked to eat ropes. (ROPE, can you imagine.....). He lived to be a very, very ripe old age, having learned his lesson after numerous (expensive) extrications. Some of us are just slower learners than others...
