  • 07:37 First Metro ride back since accident. My train was short; only 4 cars. But not that much more crowded than usual. #
  • 09:23 Made it to work, took about 40 minutes longer than normal. Trains running slower, pausing at stations longer, and using less cars. #

Red line

Unfortunately I use the red line from shady grove to get to work. Since they are only running cars every 15 min or so they are leaving shady grove with seats full and several people standing in every car. It only gets worse from there. The the trains are running 20 MPH below normal speed and they are even further slowed because it so full that people are having trouble clearing the doors. On top of that the trains I have been on have had to make several schedule adjustment stops on each trip. I have been late to work every day since the accident regardless of how much extra time I give myself. I will be so happy when the red line returns to normal service on Thursday.
