I went to Technicon once, back in the early 90s when IIRC eeedge was on the con committee. I don't know how much she's stayed in touch with them, but she seems to've dropped completely off LJ anyway :|

At that time, it struck me as a pleasant little campus convention, maybe comparable to some of the earliest EveCons we went to-- they had a few out-of-town guests, and a fairly respectable showing of fandubbed anime (I later asked her for a videotape copy of one of them). The small regional airport was reasonably convenient. I didn't see much else of the town, though-- or if I did, evidently I've completely failed to remember it.
