Now that I am stuck in bed in front of a TV, I wanted to admit one of my weird viewing habits while watching certain TV shows. When I watch older shows, like "Perry Mason" or "The Andy Griffith show," I try to see what decor is in the background. Notably wall art, statues, lamps, and furnishings. I mean, I know they were props the TV show prop department had lying around, but I wonder, "why?"
Even though it's in black and white, I notice that the Mason office has the WORST knotty-pine paneling in the background. And when I was watching an episode of "Leave it to Beaver," Mrs. Cleaver was "redoing the drapes to a fall pattern." Her choice? Cowboys and horses.
