Well, it's been about two months since I busted my right foot off that handicapped ramp in front of the Silver Diner in Laurel. It's mostly healed now. There are still parts that grind together, crack, snap, and going down stairs is not a quick and speedy operation. Up stairs is not a problem anymore, though. If I stand too long, my left leg (opposite the foot) starts to go numb, I think because I am balancing on it wrong and pinching some nerve. But I can walk long distances on it, stand for a while, and the swelling seems to have mostly gone away, although it comes back randomly from time. But when it does swell, it quickly goes down if I elevate it, and the swelling is not so much painful as it is annoying because it presses in my shoe.
I hope these resolve themselves, and I am sure if I exercised more (ahem), it would be even less of a problem.
