A few things have happened in the last 25 days.

First, half my Worldcon pictures and ALL of our Hatteras vacation pictures did NOT develop. Of course, the half Worldcon pictures I did take were fairly useless "Golly gee" pictures that I wasted a roll on before I took real ones of real people. I may scan a few in, but nothing major. The Hatteras pictures were a disaster! We bought four rolls of Kodak film from a four-pack, and only the first roll developed. The rest came out blank. I don't know if we had bad film, a bad camera, or someone goofed at the lab. I think I'll buy a cheap roll and eliminate two of the theories. Christine was crushed the pictures didn't turn out. Luckily, we did use a disposable camera, so I am hoping that came out. And everyone else there but Brad and the kids had their own camera, so we have those pictures. But we lost 60 pictures we took on that trip. Massive bummer.

I don't want to talk about work right now. Not on the web.

Then, to top it all off, while deleting a backup of all my writings, I accidentally deleted ALL THE ORIGINALS! And I could not undelete most of them. This includes all my Punk Walrus stories and every piece of fiction I ever wrote. Most of them haven't been backed up in a while (I have a third-redundancy scheme in place, but update it annually, not monthly like my normal backup). I think I have a third-red backup of the Punk Walrus Saga made in May, but probably not all of it. I have to find where I hid the disk. Suffice to say, using Windows Briefcase to back up your files is not a good idea. I deleted the briefcase (which wouldn't update, so I was going to replace it), which decided I wanted to delete the originals as well. I am in a dark, dark mood. This is a perfect way to shoot the starting gun towards my seasonal depression.
