After the previous adoption fiasco, and we knew we were ready to adopt, we have actively pursued adopting a little girl. Right now, we're going to an adoption class, and we have to finish the classes (they end in March), have a homestudy, and the start the paperwork. We're still testing the waters, so to speak, but we're committed.
Next week, I'm in Dallas (Texas that is), which I haven't visited since my Cargo days. Over the years, I have kind of grown fond of Texas. The people seem nice, and I have had nothing but positive experiences there. I have been to Austin, Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Bandera. But don't expect me to wear a cowboy hat and boots anytime soon, I hate getting "hat-head" (with oily hair) and the sound of me walking in boots sounds like a 400lb SS Officer. Why am I in Dallas? My company is sending me there for some more training in Aspect programming. Trying to get approval took almost two months. I hate bureaucracy, and getting approval took so long that getting airline tickets a week before your flight? Can we say, "400% overpriced?" I knew that you could. I'll be staying in a Radisson Suites, too. I haven't been to one of those since I went to some job seminar in the early 90's.
