Heh. My luck seems to be changing for the better. First, I get three pieces of mail in the last week that tell me, "Sorry we overcharged you." There was Verizon, who said because I cancelled their service halfway through a billing cycle, I overpaid my last bill, so a check was coming. Second, something from the Power company that said due to a billing error, since January I was charged a business, not a residential rate (I thought my bill was a little high), so they credited my bill. Today, I got a letter from one of my credit cards saying that they had to credit my account retroactively due to some complicated finance charge thing due to some lawsuit ... anyway, I get money back.
Then, I get this in my mailbox from Amazon.com:
