When I was a kid, I got this Lego Idea book that had gears. Hey, that is so groo--... oh, there's a sticker on the back that says pages 60-68 contain sets not available in the US. Fudge. Thenm, a few years later, they had this castle set in another idea book... not available in the US. Well... gag me. So, then, by sheer accident, the Lego web pages had server problem, and I got a directory listing. I clicked on one called "VIKING2005.ASPX" and saw something amazing.
Can you defeat the Midgard Serpent?
Join with a brave band of Vikings as they pilot their ship into dangerous waters to challenge the Midgard Serpent! This monstrous sea serpent threatens to wreck their ship. The Viking has a mighty 4 arrowes crossbow. Includes 6 mini-figures, oars, shields and more Viking accessories. Ship measures 16 inches/40 cm tall and 22 inches/55 cm long!
Wow-WIE! Viking Legos, and even better, from semi-Viking-ish myths! I am SO there! I found this page which shows their product line. That kicks ASS! But then if you try and buy one... "Sorry, item is not available in this country." Awww... fork you, Lego!
Of course, that may only be temporary, and if I am really desperate, I CAN buy them from overseas through authorized resellers in the UK. Thank you, Internet.
