Katsucon 12 Photos now in my galleries

Here are some pictures. Click on any to get to the gallery. There are 105 pictures online now, and a few more will come over the next few days. Most have basic descriptions, but haven't been spellchecked yet. If you are in any of these pictures, and want to be removed, let me know. These are a combination of my camera, cyaneyed's camera, and my cell phone camera.

Oh, Andy! Joeanon digs through the trash Eugene and CR

Sunday ended on a happy note. There was shutdown and so on in the staff suite, which took most of our time. I went down to the merchant's area and got some final Jap Snax. The total haul was low: two tee-shirts (one of the "Banzai Institute" with a quote about where time exists so everything doesn't happen at once, and another shirt about how English does not borrow from other languages, but follows them down dark alleys, mugs them, and goes through the pockets looking for loose grammar. I also got a "No drama - 50 feet" button (they were out of [/lj-drama] tags), and I already mentioned the chibi badges, which I am going to have framed and put on our wall in our home. There was a lot of hanging out and doing nothing, which people who had to leave early said their goodbyes.

At about 7pm, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe for our post-con staff dinner. Everyone (being me, takayla, CR, and Eugene) was really tired, but I am glad we went. There was a shuttle bus ($4/person) that took us there. Katsucon rented out the whole place, and it was awesome. We saw signed posters of John Lennon, Freddie Mercury's pants, and a lot of other cool stuff.

We had the steak, and the brownie ice cream thing. Both very good. The company was good, too. But we had to go early, since we were falling asleep at the table, and both of us had to work the next day. Sadly, our exit did not go unnoticed, and we happened to leave as Keith was giving speeches, so our "subtle exit" was anything but. I left like Nixon, with my fingers up in the air in "V"ictory.

All in all, a great weekend. I got a lot of rest, had good times with good friends, partied a lot, and consider myself the luckiest person in the world to be a part of this.

See ya next year, folks.
