"For people who like this sort of thing, this is just the sort of thing they like."Reminds me of a Mark Twain quote, "I have met many people in my life and you sir are not one of them."
Last night, we went to Sears to get a pressure washer and came home with some outdoor furniture instead. They didn't have the pressure washer I wanted, but they were having a sale on patio/deck furniture, and so we got a basic set that was nice for the price we paid. Deck furniture is really hard to shop for. We wanted to find stuff that was durable, easy to take care of (i.e., not wood), looked nice, and wasn't over $600 for a set. We saw a lot of poorly-made crap for outrageous prices. We sat in chairs that hurt our back, seemed flimsy, or were fugly. We also saw some really nice stuff for prices that rivaled how much I spent on my entire living room suite. If I were a cartoon dog, my ears would have shot up in shock. We decided on an aluminum frame set with cushions, a glass table, and no umbrella (we didn't need shade, and I didn't want it to blow away and bust through a window). I feel we "settled" a little, but at least we didn't "settle" for $600. I am still up in the air about the pressure washer, because I wonder if I will really use it that much.
We also found out the Saturn VUE will hold 6 chairs, a table, and 2 passengers (incl driver), but no more. This was her second test in capacity holding, and so far, I am STILL glad we got one. The whole mileage thing isn't so bad; it only has slightly worse mileage than the SC2 coupe did.
