Stalking Punkie's Thoughts
My latest brain droppings

  • 00:07 Reasons I haven't finished my bathroom remodel: tinyurl.com/d3ff34 #
  • 00:08 @Daecabhir man... we need to talk. We got to iron you out. #
  • 00:28 Despite only 3 hours of sleep last night, I am up past midnight again to do a mail failover. #
  • 00:30 @grayhawk If you're in town for the NOAA badge, look me up. I am on the corner of Wayne and Georgia ave, right next to Silver Spring NOAA. #
  • 02:49 Yes, I am up again because the mail server is full of FAIL tonight. Had to back out, again, of migration. Dagnabbit. 3hrs sleep in 2 days #
  • 03:25 Finally going to bed. #
  • 09:16 Awoken rudely by son who put bleach on all his black work shirts #
  • 11:36 is awake and disoriented. #
  • 15:06 @onezumi I am going to Balticon. May bring a fresh fannish face with me. Either she'll be thrill to find her own kind, or flee, screaming. #
  • 15:09 My first sci-fi con was Worldcon Constellation in 1984: I was left under the stairs for 3 hours with Trek filkers. It traumatized me. #
  • 15:12 The first sci-fi con I paid for was EveCon 2 in 1985. Killer DM wiped out all my friends characters in 1 hour; never gamed at a con since. #
  • 15:16 The first sci-fi con I stayed overnight at was Balticon in 1985. I was hooked. Saw my first anime film then, I think "Captain Harlock." #
  • 15:18 Balticon also started me doing Rocky Horror. I had seen it in Georgetown before, of course, but now it all made sense. Don't ask me how. #
  • 15:25 I also met my future wife at Balticon in 1988 on April Fool's day. She was a friend's assistant that sold dragons in the Huckster's Room. #
  • 15:34 Despite 6-7 hours of sleep, I am still worn out. I drank coffee to compensate, and that just made me ill. #

BOO! Unexpected Room of Evil, indeed. Out here in New Mexico, between Los Alamos, Roswell, and La Llorona roaming the countryside, who knows what could happen!
